【摘要】對于現在的英語教學，課外作業的設計上仍有很大的缺陷，作業是課堂教學的自然延續和補充，也是鞏固、深化和掌握知識不可或缺的重要手段，是提高教學質量的重要途徑。但是在現在的教學環境下，英語作業雖然對雪生鞏固語言起到了一定的作用，但是卻嚴重忽視了英語語言的綜合運用。很多英語作業卻結構性十分單一，并且更多的都是抄寫性和背誦性的機械作業作業，其作業內容十分的枯燥。隨著新課程改革的不斷推進，各種先進的教學策略也不斷地涌現，先進的作業策略也不斷的前進，英語課外作業是對英語學習的有效延伸。
